Oil-Based vs. Water-Soluble THC Tinctures: What’s The Difference?

thc tinctures

As the cannabis industry continues to rapidly evolve, the Cloud City Supply staff constantly refreshes its timelines to vet the latest trends. Arguably, our favorite recent development is the introduction of water-soluble THC tinctures. In this blog, we’ll explain what water-soluble THC is, why you might prefer it over oil-based tinctures, and under what circumstances it’s most suitable.

What is water-soluble THC?

Until now, most THC tinctures utilize an oil base. On a label, you may recognize this as “hemp seed oil” or “MCT oil,” as these serve as a carrier for the cannabinoids the tinctures contain. Because oil does not dissolve when immersed in water, you may notice that when you add traditional oil-based THC tinctures to a drink, the two liquids will separate. Thus, oil-based THC tinctures take a little longer for your body to absorb and feel the onset of their effects. Enter: water-soluble THC tinctures!

In contrast, water-soluble THC tinctures are designed with an advanced emulsification technology that allows the THC to break down seamlessly when mixed with water-based drinks. This means that when you add them to your morning tea or sparkling water, you won’t see that separation, and your body will activate the effects more swiftly. Ultimately, in comparison to traditional oil-based tinctures, water-soluble tinctures allow for versatility and efficiency in how you choose to consume your THC.

Water-soluble vs. oil-based tinctures

Here are the cliff notes on the main advantages of water-soluble tinctures over traditional oil-based ones:

  1. Better absorption: Because they break down more easily in water-based drinks, water-soluble THC has a faster activation time. Water-soluble THC has an estimated onset timeline of 15-30 minutes, compared to oil-based THC, which can take up to 1-2 hours.
  2. More versatile use: Water-soluble THC can be mixed into any water-based liquid for discreet, convenient consumption. Whether that means water, tea, or coffee for you, we guarantee a more enjoyable user experience.
  3. Undetectable taste: Because of the water/oil incompatibility, oil-based tinctures have been known to leave a funky “weed” aftertaste in cannabis beverages. Water-soluble tinctures solve that problem by flawlessly enmeshing with any water-based drink.

Now do you see how water-soluble THC is giving traditional tinctures a run for their money?

However, with that said, there are still a few occasions when oil-based THC tinctures are more preferred. Here’s a basic summary of when to use oil-based vs. water-soluble THC tinctures:

  • Oil-based: Best for sublingual use (adding a few drops underneath your tongue) and cooking (adding THC to food).
  • Water-soluble: Best for adding THC to water-based beverages such as coffee, tea, water, juice, etc.

Most suitable circumstances for water-soluble THC tinctures

Because water-soluble THC activates significantly faster, they are ideal for:

  • People with mid-high THC tolerance levels who are looking for fast-acting relief from physical pain or emotional distress.
  • People who prefer cannabis drinks vs. other product formats, such as smoking or vaping.
  • Experienced THC users looking to experiment with potent new delivery methods.

Water-soluble THC tinctures are the latest cannabis trend. They offer a convenient and effective modern alternative to traditional THC products. If you’re an experienced THC lover, we encourage you to stock your supply cabinet with both water-soluble and oil-based tinctures to experiment for yourself. Try Cloud City’s new star product: Buddha Beans Delta-9 THC Tincture.

Notably, keep in mind that THC affects everyone differently. Visit us in-store for a one-on-one consultation with a budtender to make the most of our premium water-soluble THC tinctures.

Is Cannabis The New Alcohol? 11 Sober-Curious Drinks To Try (Recommended By Industry Experts)

sober curious

There’s no getting around the fact that a growing number of Americans are reshaping their relationship with alcohol. Whether you grew up watching an adult struggle with addiction, picked up an unhealthy habit during the pandemic, or simply don’t enjoy being inebriated and hungover the next day, drinking has hit a record low. According to a Gallup survey published in August 2025, only 54% of U.S. adults are drinking. This new data indicates a 58% decrease in alcohol consumption since 2024, a trend that has steepened to 62% since 2023. What’s more, Americans reported a drop in their weekly average intake, from 3.8 to just 2.8 alcoholic drinks– the lowest recorded average since 1996.

Why Americans aren’t drinking as much

These statistics reflect a health-conscious mindset that’s influencing social trends and consumer behavior on a broader scale. Gallup reports that 53% of Americans associate even moderate consumption with harmful health risks. To that end, a burgeoning sober curious movement has begun to dominate both social and wellness trends. Concurrently, we’ve noticed another notable trend that could be contributing to the adoption of healthier habits: an increase in cannabis consumption.

Studies such as this January 2025 report by New Frontier Data suggest Americans are replacing alcohol and prescription medications with marijuana. According to the survey, 62% of respondents prefer cannabis over alcohol, and 57% have replaced their drinking habits with cannabis consumption instead. As drinking trends shift in favor of moderation, mocktails, and cannabis alternatives, bars, restaurants, and retailers are reporting an increasing demand for cannabis products. As such, a recent study by Reuters points out that hemp-derived beverages are taking up more and more shelf space and offsetting the continual decline in alcohol sales.

Start Low, Go Slow: 3 Tips For Building THC & CBD Tolerance

cbd products

There’s no denying that the wellness industry is evolving rapidly and changing our lives for the better. As our culture adapts to new research on alternative aids, people are making more informed choices about how they manage their personal health. Arguably, the hottest one on the market right now is cannabis, leading more and more health-conscious consumers to inquire about its therapeutic benefits and the best ways to take advantage of them. If you’re a newbie to cannabis, building your tolerance to THC and CBD products the right way is essential to maximize your experience. In today’s blog, we’ll unpack the one simple rule to follow: Start low and go slow.

You may have heard friends talk about negative experiences they’ve had from overdoing it with cannabis products. Depending on your body chemistry, tolerance, and other mitigating factors, this is bound to happen if you’re uninformed about the products you consume. At Cloud City Supply, we prioritize user safety through customer education, ensuring you leave with all the information you need to have the best experience. Whether you turn to cannabis for pain relief, stress management, or sleep support, our budtenders will help guide your journey as safely and effectively as possible.

The biggest mistake (new and experienced) cannabis users alike make is taking too much, too fast. In particular, overdoing it with THC, the most prominent psychoactive component of the cannabis plant, can cause undesirable effects, including psychological distress, nausea or vomiting, extreme fatigue, dissociation, and impaired cognition. Hence, it’s best to consult with a knowledgeable budtender before traversing the world of THC.

Cloud City’s Golden Rule: Start Low and Go Slow

Consider “Start low and go slow” your new motto when it comes to building your cannabis tolerance. Let’s break down what it means:

  • Start with a low dose of THC (less than 20%) and wait at least 30 minutes before assessing its effects. Your body needs time to process cannabinoids, so don’t expect to feel anything immediately. Importantly, waiting it out prevents you from the risks associated with overconsumption. Remember that you can always take more, but you can’t take less once it’s in your system. For beginners, we recommend starting with microdoses (2.5-5mg) for an initial warm-up.
  • Gradually increase THC levels in incremental amounts, one use at a time.
  • Consistency is key here. Consume small doses regularly to build your endocannabinoid system’s tolerance smoothly.

Pro tip: Combine the effects of THC with other cannabis extracts. Blending THC with other cannabinoids, such as CBD, CBG, and CBN, gives off an infused, complementary effect commonly referred to as the entourage effect. The entourage effect is characterized by a soft, balanced, and euphoric experience.

Learning to wield cannabis as a health and wellness tool is a deeply personal experience. What works best for you may have a completely different impact on someone else. Nonetheless, Cloud City’s golden rule applies to all. So don’t forget to start low, go slow, and visit a budtender at our downtown Campbell store for personalized recommendations and detailed guidance on how to use your cannabis products for the best possible experience.

6 Reasons Why THC Affects People Differently

cbd products

If you’re a fan of recreational cannabis, you’ve probably seen the vast array of effects THC products can have on different people. The same joint you share with a friend might relax you, but energize them. But why? In today’s blog, we’re taking a deep dive into one of the most frequent questions we get from Cloud City customers: Why does THC affect people differently? The short answer is, it’s complicated.

How THC interacts with your endocannabinoid system

Previously, we’ve explained that cannabis extracts function by interacting with your body’s endocannabinoid system, which is made up of a network of CB1 and CB2 receptors. CB1 receptors are located in your central nervous system, meaning cannabinoid interaction impacts the physiological functions the central nervous system controls. For example, mood, cognition, pain perception, and movement. In short, your CB1 receptors facilitate the psychoactive effects of cannabinoids like THC, taking credit for that euphoric feeling it’s notoriously known for.

On the contrary, your CB2 receptors are located in your peripheral nervous system, and thereby facilitate a different effect when interacting with cannabinoids. The primary functions of the peripheral nervous system include gastrointestinal wellness, inflammation, immune response, and pain perception. Importantly, cannabis products have become such a popular natural remedy for pain because they interact with both CB1 and CB2 receptors.

Yet, because cannabinoid interaction impacts the functionality of your central and peripheral nervous systems, the variation in THC’s effects on different people relies on factors such as health, genetics, and your body’s unique chemical patterns.

Why THC affects people differently

Ultimately, everyone’s body contains a different density of CB1 receptors. Because your endocannabinoid system is genetically determined, it makes sense why two people might have completely different reactions to sharing the same THC products.

Body chemistry

While fatal overdoses from THC products are nearly non-existent (as in there are zero documented cases of death solely from cannabis), depending on the makeup of your endocannabinoid system, consuming enormous amounts of THC can have some pretty undesirable effects. Highly concentrated THC products, especially those consumed in edible form (which have a delayed onset), can make some people feel paranoid, nauseous, uncontrollably tired, or anxious. Yet, these same products can make others feel elated, euphoric, and calm.

Factors that make a difference:

  • Tolerance level
  • Brain chemistry
  • Metabolism
  • Nervous system sensitivity

To that end, the better care you take of yourself, the more likely you are to experience positive effects.

Hydration & nutrition

Another factor that impacts how your body reacts to cannabis is whether or not you’ve eaten before consuming it. Not to mention (drumroll, please!) your hydration level.

There should be no surprises here. Dehydration intensifies cannabis-induced effects like cottonmouth, dizziness, and nausea, as does consuming THC on an empty stomach. For these reasons, always make sure you’re properly hydrated and have something solid in your tummy before consuming cannabis. High-fat meals enhance THC absorption and thus strengthen its effects.

In addition to diet and genetics, these factors also play a role in how your endocannabinoid system reacts to THC:

  • Emotional state: Your body’s production of hormones like serotonin (the stress hormone) and dopamine (the bliss molecule) can alter your THC experience. Thus, consumption during times of high versus low stress can make a significant difference in your experience.
  • Product format: THC may bind to your CB1 and CB2 receptors differently depending on how it’s ingested. For example, some people report more substantial effects from edibles compared to smoking or vaping. When edibles are consumed, your body converts the THC into 11-hydroxy-THC, which increases its potency.
  • Strain: There are many different strains and profiles of cannabinoids. Often, the result of cannabis consumption is a combination of complementary variables. Products that contain THC and other cannabinoids produce what’s known as the entourage effect. Commonly, these complementary compounds include CBD, CBG, CBN, terpenes, and flavonoids, all of which contribute to their overall impact.

How to find your THC sweet spot

Finding your sweet spot with THC is undoubtedly an experimental process. At Cloud City, our motto is “start low and go slow.” For the most enjoyable and practical experience, THC newbies should slowly build THC tolerance over time. Before consuming THC products, always make sure you’re properly hydrated, emotionally stable, and well-fed.

Because no two endocannabinoid systems are the same, your cannabis experience will inevitably differ from the next person’s. Stay mindful of your diet, hydration, tolerance, mood, and body chemistry. “Starting low and going slow” will allow you to safely explore the wondrous magic of cannabis products.

How Cannabis Is Saving America From Overdose Deaths

alternative medicine

Overdose deaths in America climbed significantly from 2019-2022. The sharp increase from 70,000 in 2019 peaked in 2022, totaling over 100,000. These statistics correlate with the simultaneous rise in synthetic opioid use. Remember the fentanyl epidemic that took over news feeds and social media during this period? Yet, in subsequent years, we’ve seen a reversal in overdose mortality rates that reached record lows in 2024. In today’s blog, we dive into a hunch many are subscribing to about what’s responsible for this sudden decline in pharmaceutical overdoses: cannabis legalization.

While fentanyl remains a major public health concern, a growing number of scientists, wellness experts, and medical professionals have started to subscribe to the idea of swapping addictive prescription medications for earth-derived aids, namely cannabis. Unlike opioids, NSAIDs, sleeping pills, SSRIs (antidepressants), and anti-anxiety drugs like benzodiazepines (e.g., Xanax, Valium), cannabis offers a comparable treatment without the long-term health risks. Cannabis rivals these harmful medications, providing a natural alternative for managing pain, inflammation, stress, anxiety, and poor sleep that’s proven to be just as effective. As legal restrictions continue to loosen, research has identified a correlation between the rise in medical cannabis use and the plunge in overdose deaths in recent years. To that end, cannabis products have become a powerful and popular tool in combating the opioid crisis in America.

Cannabis is an effective alternative to pain, anti-anxiety, and sleep medications.

Research published by PubMed showed that 77% percent of patients who were prescribed opioids, benzodiazepines, or pharmaceutical sleep aids reported a decreased reliance on these medications after initiating medical cannabis. As such, we see a consistent downward trend of reduced use of pharmaceutical meds for pain, anxiety, migraines, and sleep due to medical cannabis.

Legalizing cannabis leads to steeper declines in overdose death rates.

States that have legalized cannabis have seen the most substantial declines in opioid-related overdose mortality rates. On average, states with medical cannabis laws have seen a 25% decrease once legislation is passed. Year after year, this reduction continues to strengthen. In most states, reduction rates peak at 33% approximately five years post-legalization, indicating a noteworthy impact. What’s more, making cannabis accessible provides an effective alternative for anti-anxiety, migraine, and sleep medication dependencies by approximately 70%.

Legalizing cannabis has a cascading positive effect on the economy & public health.

Significant declines in pharmaceutical reliance have a positive impact on America’s economy and public health. Switching from prescription medications to cannabis leads to fewer emergency room visits and lower healthcare costs. Consequently, the availability of affordable healthcare and a reduction in demand for emergency intervention shift social norms regarding the dynamics between patients, medical professionals, and general health habits, which ripple through both the industry and culture.

Because cannabis legalization is still in the early stages, so is the research that scientists have been able to produce. While studies are underway for treating medical conditions such as chronic pain, inflammation, anxiety, and insufficient sleep with cannabis, there’s no denying the apparent correlation between the increase in its use and the decrease in one of our generation’s most significant concerns: overdose deaths.

As a top-rated cannabis store in Silicon Valley, we advocate for alternative health aids that work. Cloud City is proud to contribute to curbing America’s overdose crisis with life-changing premium hemp products.

Benefits of Cannabinoids: Unpacking The ‘Entourage Effect’ For 24/7 Wellness

cannabinoids

With over 100 extracts, cannabinoids provide organic support for a variety of physiological ailments. In addition to the powerful ability to reduce physical pain, therapeutic benefits of cannabinoids include better sleep, hormone balance, increased energy, anxiety reduction, stress management, enhanced focus, and elevated mood. Thus, it makes sense why so many are dropping their prescription medications for cannabis. But if you’ve never tried it before or only use it for a single purpose, where do you even start? 🤔

Benefits of cannabinoids

Because Cloud City Supply prides itself on customer education, we encourage cannabis users to explore beyond their usual go-to products. While many are brought into our store for the first time by a primary concern (e.g., nerve pain, headaches, poor sleep), they are delighted to discover that hemp products have much more to offer. Research on cannabinoids is still underway, but has already confirmed them effective as antiemetic aids, natural pain relief, and a potential solution for multiple sclerosis (MS)-related spasticity. As trusted advisors to the Cloud City community, we find joy in helping you navigate all that our premium cannabis products have to offer when combined, an experience more formally known as the entourage effect

Out of all the cannabinoids, we like to start folks off with the entourage effect trio: cannabidiol (CBD), cannabigerol (CBG), and cannabinol (CBN). Each performs differently from its counterparts. However, when combined, these three compounds produce a synergistic effect that will have you feeling like your best self, all the time. So, if you’re ready to get on top of your health this summer, read on! Cloud City has everything you need to achieve all of your wellness goals.

Unpacking the entourage effect: When to take CBN, CBG, & CBD

To experience the entourage effect, you’ll want to leverage these three complementary cannabis extracts at different times throughout the day.

CBN (Cannabinol)

Our first order of business is to sync your body with nature’s clock, or in other words, regulating your circadian rhythm. Your circadian rhythm, or internal clock, regulates various physiological functions, including sleep patterns, hormone release, and metabolism. Without proper sleep, these physiological functions are impaired, and this impairment has a domino effect that can manifest in various ways. Thus, quality sleep is a non-negotiable, as it lays the groundwork for your overall health.

Cannabinol is particularly useful for those who have trouble getting to or staying asleep throughout the night. If you have insomnia or experience frequent sleep disturbances, CBN can help. While CBN provides a relaxing sensation that can be applied to more than just sleep (such as after a heated argument or during times of high stress), its most popular use is to improve sleep patterns and quality. For this reason, it’s most commonly used as a bedtime approach.

CBG (Cannabigerol)

Although cannabigerol (CBG) and cannabidiol (CBD) can be used for similar purposes, CBG is generally helpful for starting your day with a boost of energy and enhanced focus. Of course, if you need that boost later in the day to prep for a big meeting or stay focused through a long task, the same applies. CBG is often referred to as the mother of all cannabinoids and has become a morning wellness staple for overwhelmed parents and people with busy work schedules alike.

CBD (Cannabidiol)

On that note, while CBD provides many similar effects to both CBD and CBG, it’s especially useful for managing both stress and inflammation. As such, it makes the perfect pick-me-up to get you out of that post-lunch slump.

CBD is becoming a popular social tonic as more and more Americans seek healthier alternatives to alcohol and tobacco. Unlike alcohol, CBD does not contain psychoactive properties. Yet, it still offers an energy boost, boosts self-esteem, and promotes relaxation to help overcome social anxiety. That said, CBD’s healing effects make it suitable for use at any time of day.

Natural support for your wellness goals

To be honest, you really can’t go wrong with any of these cannabinoids.

The best part about these complementary cannabinoids is that they have no intoxicating side effects, only therapeutic benefits. To that end, you explore them safely and find the products, dosages, and frequencies that work best for you. Cloud City’s famous tincture trio gives you the best of cannabinoid synergy in one convenient bundle. Get yours today online or at our downtown Campbell store!

In addition to running Cloud City and working a full-time corporate engineering job, this ambitious leader is also the sitting president of the Downtown Campbell Business Association (DCBA) and a board member of the Campbell Police Foundation (CPF). Needless to say, she cares thoroughly and meticulously about serving her community.

As trusted advisors and cannabis consultants, Cloud City’s budtenders gift shoppers with both answers and advice. Considering cannabis education is at the heart of everything they do, no question is off limits. These experts make you feel both confident and cared for. In doing so, unlock organic solutions for a range of ailments, spanning chronic pain, social anxiety, and daily stress management

Unlike other stores, Cloud City ensures you have all the tools you need to get the most out of your cannabis products. More importantly, you’ll get guided instructions on how to use them, eliminating the fear, confusion, and overwhelm. Whether you’re a first-timer or an avid user, Cloud City’s budtenders will show you how to maximize your experience.

Finally, Amy prides herself on the relationships she has built with neighboring business owners. These connections have enabled them to collaborate on recurring community events and initiatives, such as an annual blood drive, Halloween costume contests, and monthly community-building opportunities. Thanks to a cohesive effort, this collective has become the glue that binds downtown Campbell together.

As Cloud City turns four, Amy reflects on all its accomplishments in such a short period. She looks out on the courtyard on one of those sunny Sunday afternoons. Her heart feels full as she thinks about the meaningful work she and her team have done, the community they’ve built, and the lives they’ve touched. Cheers to the first four years down, and decades more to come!

CBD For Period Pain: End The Monthly Struggle To Find Natural Pain Relief Once & For All

cbd for period pain

Menstruating women around the world unite over one common experience that intimately connects them: PMS. For many, premenstrual syndrome (PMS) induces a distinct set of symptoms that indicate aunt flow is on the way. Typical PMS symptoms include bloating, mood swings, increased appetite, and tender boobs. Yet, the most widely discussed symptom is period cramps, which is considered a medical condition of its own called dysmenorrhea. Those who experience dysmenorrhea know how disruptive it can be to daily life; debilitating, even. Without some aid, excruciating cramps can upend daily routines and productive workflows, making it a serious issue for those with severe cases. This blog will explain how period cramps work and explore natural solutions, such as CBD for period pain.

What is dysmenorrhea?

Dysmenorrhea is the medical term used to describe period cramps, characterized by throbbing pain sensations in the lower abdomen before and during the menstrual cycle. Right before a woman’s period starts, her body releases prostaglandins, a hormone that causes uterine muscles to contract. These contractions are commonly referred to as menstrual cramps. This condition impacts women to varying degrees, rendering some unable to get out of bed during menstruation while leaving others entirely unaffected. To understand this range of effects adequately, it is essential to recognize that there are levels of dysmenorrhea: primary and secondary.

Primary dysmenorrhea is the first level of menstrual cramping that most women experience, which comes with a host of symptoms including nausea, headaches, indigestion, brain fog, and fatigue. In contrast, secondary dysmenorrhea goes beyond general discomfort. It’s caused by another underlying medical condition or uterine abnormality that exacerbates period pain, such as fibroids, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (POS), or premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Those dealing with severe pain from secondary dysmenorrhea should consult a doctor or medical professional, as interventions for relief will be more complex. In some cases, surgery may be necessary.

Yes, PMS is a common experience. However, that doesn’t mean those affected should accept it and begrudgingly muscle through each month. Per usual, Cloud City Supply has the answers and is here to offer solutions that are as pure as they are potent.

Natural pain relief for period cramps (that actually work)

Fortunately, modern science and technology have enabled us to discover several solutions that remedy period pain without harmful drugs. As consumers become increasingly health-conscious and prefer natural medicines over pharmaceutical interventions, many earth-derived developments have emerged. If you struggle with painful periods but don’t want to take a prescription painkiller, here are some options to try.

Heating pads

Before contemporary alternative health agents became popular, many women relied on heating pads to find relief from period cramps. This topical solution works by applying mild, localized heat to increase blood circulation in the abdominal muscles, effectively relaxing the affected area and alleviating the discomfort. Although heating pads provide comfort and relief, they pose a challenge for those who need to be mobile during their menstrual cycle.

Stress-reducing habits

Albeit cliche, proactively managing daily diet and exercise regimens, especially during your period, can significantly reduce dysmenorrhea. During menstruation, hormonal fluctuations increase your body’s water and salt retention. As a result, bloating is a natural consequence. Thus, anti-inflammatory foods like leafy greens, nuts, and fish are your friends. Moreover, your favorite guilty pleasures filled with sugar, caffeine, and alcohol are *not*.

Of course, drinking more water than you need also helps to reduce dehydration, which largely contributes to dysmenorrhea. In the same way, though exercising may be the last thing you want to do while PMSing, movement promotes better blood circulation and triggers the release of endorphins, which are hormones that act as natural painkillers.

Alternative health aids

The newest (and arguably most effective) research in period pain relief includes complementary therapies like acupuncture, magnesium supplements, and cannabidiol (CBD). Acupuncture works similarly to heating pads and exercise by increasing blood flow and stimulating the release of endorphins.

Likewise, magnesium supplements help balance hormone production, which in turn decreases pain perception. Supplements are a great way to support the mind and body during menstruation, as they allow for greater mobility and accessibility throughout the day. Popular magnesium supplements include magnesium citrate, magnesium glycinate, magnesium oxide, and magnesium malate.

Finally, cannabidiol (CBD) has completely dominated the health and wellness industry as a safe, natural, and effective aid for all types of pain relief. Obviously, that includes period pain. 🙂

CBD works with your body’s endocannabinoid system to modulate CB1 and CB2 receptors, which regulate several physiological functions, including pain perception. Notably, this star extract also exhibits anti-inflammatory effects, which intensify its pain-reducing capabilities.

CBD for period pain: Recommendations from the best CBD store in Silicon Valley

Because of how CBD has dominated the health and wellness space, newbies in need of quick pain relief solutions might be overwhelmed by the plethora of options available. Alas, Cloud City Supply is here to show you the best way to dive in. Think of Cloud City as a trusted advisor for all your hemp-based needs. Whether you’re dealing with primary or secondary dysmenorrhea, you can rest assured that cannabidiol is a safe and effective aid that will help alleviate discomfort so you can get back to living your life, pain and stress-free. Additionally, the store’s dedication to CBD education, whether through blogs like this or one-on-one in-store consultations, has made it a go-to hub for all things cannabidiol.

On that note, these CBD tinctures by Ladykind have remained a favorite among the menstruating community for cramps and other PMS symptoms, including brain fog, mood swings, low energy, and poor sleep. This coveted set of tinctures is crafted with pure, high-quality ingredients and has been proven to help women thrive during menstruation, even through painful cramps.

Ladykind for pain-free periods

Gift Yourself A Great Day (& Night) With Full-Spectrum CBD

best cbd

In addition to bringing you the best CBD products on the market, Cloud City Supply is committed to helping you create a daily CBD routine designed for your wellness needs. If you’ve ever researched cannabidiol (CBD) and promptly fallen into a rabbit hole of labels, acronyms, and technical jargon, this blog is for you. Today, we’re laying everything you need to know out in Lehman’s terms, from explaining the entourage effect to a suggested step-by-step daily regimen. So sit back, focus up, and get ready to meet the new daily wellness companion that will change your life in all the best ways.

As the best CBD store in Silicon Valley, we answer all kinds of questions about CBD and how to use it to help you deepen your understanding and make more informed decisions regarding your health. One of the most common questions is, “What’s the difference between CBD isolate, broad-spectrum, and full-spectrum CBD?” Allow us to explain.

CBD isolate, broad-spectrum, & full-spectrum CBD: What’s the difference?

CBD isolate

Let’s begin with the simplest form of CBD extracts: CBD isolate. As the name suggests, CBD isolate is 100% pure cannabidiol.

Broad-spectrum CBD

Next, there’s broad-spectrum CBD.

Broad-spectrum CBD can contain any number of cannabis extracts, including cannabinol (CBN), cannabigerol (CBG), cannabichromene (CBC), cannabidivarin (CBDV), terpenes, and flavonoids (otherwise known as vitamin P). However, it’s important to note that broad-spectrum CBD only contains hemp plant compounds that are non-psychoactive. Importantly, broad-spectrum CBD does not include any THC.

What is full-spectrum CBD?

In contrast, full-spectrum CBD includes the extracts included in broad-spectrum CBD, plus trace amounts of THC. Notably, full-spectrum CBD products are classified differently from THC products. Because full-spectrum CBD products only contain less than 0.3% THC, they don’t induce any psychoactive effects (they won’t get you “high”). Still, the 0.3% THC serves a purpose. This trace amount of THC boosts the benefits of the other cannabinoids to produce what’s affectionately known as the entourage effect.

Why we recommend full-spectrum CBD

On its own, CBD is an effective wellness supplement that serves an array of common health concerns related to the mind and body. However, when combined with other cannabis extracts (CBG, CBN, and THC), it gives effervescent wanderlust.

Rather than pinpointing a specific concern, like using CBG to increase energy and focus, or CBN for sleep support, full-spectrum CBD products allow you to experience a comprehensive approach to wellness, enhancing mood, pain relief, sleep quality, and stress management all at once. Remember, since the amount of THC included in full-spectrum CBD is, by law, always under 0.3%, these products will not give you the psychoactive effects characterized by “getting high.” For those looking to maximize their cannabis experience, here’s why we endorse full-spectrum CBD.

It delivers the entourage effect

The entourage effect serves a broad range of purposes: regulating the nervous system, managing bad moods, alleviating physical pain and inflammation, coping with stress and anxiety, facilitating better sleep, the list goes on! Unlike CBD isolate or broad-spectrum CBD, which tend to serve targeted concerns, full-spectrum CBD allows for an elevated, “melt all over” effect.

It leverages the therapeutic benefits of THC without getting you high

Because the amount of THC included in full-spectrum CBD products never exceeds 0.3%, these formulations allow you to experience the soothing effects of THC without getting intoxicated, making it a safe and supportive aid throughout the day. While you won’t get “high” from full-spectrum CBD products, you will feel noticeably calm, cool, and collected.

Its effects last for 6-8 hours

Although there are various forms full-spectrum CBD products come in, our favorite kind is softgels, and not for no reason. Softgels are easy to swallow, allow for better absorption, and are pre-measured for reliable, consistent dosing. Moreover, better absorption means longer-lasting effects. Specifically, the effects of Cloud City’s premium CBD softgels will last for up to 6-8 hours.

These Chill Pills are Cloud City’s newest product, and arguably the best full-spectrum CBD softgels on the market. This perfect cocktail of cannabinoids, natural oils, terpenes, and flavonoids is responsible for the coveted entourage effect everyone wants to experience. Each element complements its counterparts to facilitate the most therapeutic (but non-intoxicating) benefits hemp has to offer.

To add, Cloud City’s Chill Pills are made from the best organic cannabidiol and rigorously tested for safety, efficacy, and legal compliance. Each softgel contains a generous 25mg of full-spectrum CBD, making them your perfect companion for a good day. Whether you’re a busy professional in need of mental clarity, a parent trying to manage some semblance of a work-life balance, or an athlete looking to support your mind and body naturally, these Chill Pills will help you tackle your daily routine with ease and confidence.

Your new daily routine, featuring full-spectrum CBD

If you’ve been here before, you know we pin consistency as the number one factor in successfully building CBD into your daily routine. Here are our suggestions for using your new Chill Pills for a calmer, more focused daily flow. Depending on your tolerance and when throughout the day you feel you need the most support, choose the applicable suggestions that feel most fitting for you:

  • In the morning, to calm that sense of urgency that bites you in the butt as soon as you open your phone.
  • In the afternoon, to combat that post-lunch fatigue and make it through the end of the work day.
  • At night, one hour before you get in bed to improve your sleep patterns and quality.

Best CBD combos

Want to amplify your new CBD routine? Enhance your softgel regimen with some of our top recommendations, according to the best CBD store in Silicon Valley:

  • Chill Pills + Intensive Relief Rub. This best-selling topical CBD rub comes in multiple formats so you can use it to your liking. As the name states, it caters to athletes, victims of chronic pain, or those recovering post-injury or surgery. Its effects are likened to those of prescription pain meds, without any of the associated harmful long-term health risks.
  • Chill Pills + Tincture Trio. Each tincture in this trio features isolates of the three most popular cannabinoids: CBD, CBG, and CBN. Though there are many ways to use tinctures, our favorite way to pair them with the chill pill softgels is to add a couple drops to a cup of tea. Here’s how to do it:
    • Add CBD to your morning coffee to start your day with balanced focus.
    • Add CBG to your beverage at lunch to recharge mid-day.
    • Add CBN to your nighttime cup of tea for a better night’s sleep.

How To Stop Chewing Tobacco: Hacks That Heal

quit dipping

Spring is in full swing (yay!), and you know what that means: It’s time to check in on those New Year’s resolutions. If you’ve been struggling to kick your tobacco chewing habit, fear not. First and foremost, rest assured, you’re not having an isolated experience. More importantly, practical solutions are at your fingertips. In today’s blog, we’re sharing why so many people struggling with tobacco addiction are turning to cannabidiol as a safe and effective aid in calling it quits for good.

As a budtender at the best CBD store in Silicon Valley put it:

“It’s nice to know we are helping people get off of harmful substances and help with an alternative that gives that same oral fixation and has CBD to help calm the nerves/jitters that come from the tobacco/nicotine withdrawals. I love it!”

Cloud City Supply’s star recommendation for chewers looking to quit is Cannadips CBD Dip Pouches. These pouches satisfy oral fixation and soothe the nervous system, minus the harmful effects of tobacco and nicotine. These smoke-free, spit-free pouches are a perfect, convenient solution for whenever the urge strikes.

If you’ve tried to quit before to no avail, trust that using Cannadips will be different. The entourage effect you get from CBD mitigates the stress and irritability inevitably sparked by withdrawal when trying to quit. Plus, the flavor-packed pouch design makes for a familiar, and arguably better overall experience. They are, of course, tobacco-free and nicotine-free, and come in two dosage options (10mg per pouch tins and 50mg per pouch tins) to cater to your tolerance level.

Here’s how to use CBD pouches to stop chewing tobacco:

  1. Select a dosage that fits your needs: If you’re new to CBD or only experience mild cravings, start with the 10mg per pouch Cannadips tin. In contrast, if you’re a heavy dipper or experiencing severe withdrawals, go for the 50mg per pouch tin for heightened relief.
  2. Choose your flavor: Pick from one of five coveted flavors– natural mint, american spice, fresh wintergreen, tangy citrus, or tropical mango.
  3. Proceed with your usual chew: Use the Cannadips pouches just like your regular dip (no spitting needed!).
  4. Sit back and let the CBD work its magic: Note the decrease in stress and irritability you feel once you get into a routine with your new Cannadips pouches.

Remember that building healthier habits only happens through repetition. Stick with it to experience the long-term health benefits of quitting dipping with the help of these incredible CBD pouches.
